Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), eligible adults age 18 and older and dislocated workers age 18 and older may receive financial assistance to help cover the cost of training. This may include tuition, books, supplies, tools, and related costs for approved post-secondary training providers in the State of Ohio.

For more information, call or visit OhioMeansJobs Belmont County.

Please note: Funding and new enrollments may be limited.

How to Apply for WIOA Funding

This is for Belmont County residents.  Non-Belmont County residents must apply for WIOA in their county of residence. Please be advised that it may take 30 days or more to schedule an eligibility appointment, so plan accordingly if you want to begin training. There is no guarantee that your application and eligibility process will be completed before your desired training start date.

To receive WIOA funding, eligibility and all program requirements must be completed before your training begins.

You may apply online or print the preliminary application and mail it as your first step in requesting training assistance under WIOA. Your second step is to call OhioMeansJobs Belmont County to follow up on your preliminary application.
